fine art film wedding photographer virginia

Drawn to a neutral palette, old world architecture, and the quiet beauty of the outdoors, photography is my outlet for creating art, visualizing a feeling, seeing beauty in every day life. My primary medium for photography is film for many reasons – the fine art quality, glowing luminosity, and beautiful skin tones to name a few. But most of all, I feel film photographs simply have more soul.

I approach weddings with a calm and quiet observation. For most of the action, I like to blend in so you forget I’m there and during portraits we hang out as friends. My goal is to understand your vision of the day, notice all the details of what make you and your fiancé “you”, and artfully capture the genuine emotion so you can cherish and remember all the precious moments of your intimate gathering.

Outside of photography I am lucky to spend my days with my sweet husband Lennie, our perfect baby girl Julia, and our little golden retriever Sienna. Lennie and I have explored our way across the US, through Europe, and spent two years living and traveling around Australia. My heart is most inspired when traveling the world, and I am always dreaming of our next adventure. When we are home, I love roaming through antique stores or relaxing with music and a good glass of red wine.

I am honored to have my work published regularly in prominent wedding publications such as Style Me Pretty, Wedding Sparrow, Once Wed, Brides, Magnolia Rouge, Green Wedding Shoes, and The Knot.

While I’m based in Richmond, VA and NYC, if you are drawn to my photographs, please get in touch no matter where your wedding will be.
